Hence, Turnitin is a valuable educational tool in demonstrating to students what does and does not constitute plagiarism. Turnitin plays an important role in developing a holistic, integrated approach to developing high standards of academic research and learning; that is, developing initiatives to teach students how to avoid plagiarism, designing assignments and projects which limit the incidence of plagiarism, revising academic codes of conduct, as well as the processes for addressing possible violations."
